Kite Surfing

We have just opened our Kite Surfing Department in response to the over whelming interest customers have expressed.

The number of sails seen along the beaches provide proof of just how popular Surf Sailing has become.

When the wind dies you see sails stacked in the sun drying while the enthusiast wait for more wind.  A dry sail is the hallmark of the expert as a wet sail is heaver and doesn't fly as well.

For starters, you need to get everything down to the water and get the kite into the air.  This in itself is no small feat.  You will be carrying a 10' or so kite with 30' to 50 lines, a board, boots to keep you attached to the board, a back brace that attaches to the "T" bar controller, and at last, the "T" bar controller that connects you to the kite and allows you to direct the kite for maximum performance.  When all is properly connected you will be ready for a wonderful time.

Once everything is down to the waters edge and connected you are soon going to be on the ocean enjoying the day.  Just make sure to check everything one last time.

Once you are sure all is ready it is time to tune the kite to the wind conditions.  Once you are adjusted for the proper tensions you are ready to go.

Now, GO!  You have taken time to make sure that you have done everything possible to provide a pleasant Kite Surfing experience.

Above and to the right are three pictures of people enjoying themselves with one of the newest sports on the planet.  Nothing beats the solitude as you pit yourself against the elements for the sail of you life.

A fisheye lens catches a surfer at the zenith of his leap and isolating him in the sky.
Dragging a hand in the water helps with those quick turns or to quickly lose speed.
Leaping from a wave peak allows you to maximize both your height and hang time.
Watch your positioning and heading when close to shore.  Coming down from a leap on the beach can be a rough experience.
Throwing a wake from a quick turn shows the white water against the blue.
Flying across the sea is the ultimate goal.  Time and distance is everything.
Oops!  That was close, just missing another kite crossing your path.  An ever present worry as the sport gets even more popular.
The two designs shown here are the only two we offer at this time.

Kite Sailing is so new to us that we insist that all orders be handles in person.  Quotes may be requested by phone, email, or fax.
