Custom Kites

We are proud of our custom kite construction.  We have built some of the greatest kites in the world, both for competition as well as just for pleasure.

Former Beatles have often ordered our kites both simply for family or small groups as well as to dress performances.  Other notables who have ordered from us are Eldon John, The Rolling Stones, Simon &Garfunkel (Concert in Central Park), and many others.

From large orders of multiple kites to simply wanting that special single kite we are able to provide exactly what you desire.

Here (left and below) are pictures of some of the 100 specialty kites we provided the Phoenix, US balloon meet.

On the left is an array of kites that were designed to assist the sails on a research craft.  The array was designed and produced by our fantastic custom kite department.  Many of our Surf Kite ensembles' are based on the same principles.

On the right is a shot taken at our last company picnic showing a verity of our production and experimental kites.  Not only do our people enjoy the day to day business of the kite business, they also love to get out and actually put them in the air.  The lowest kite in the center is one of our soon to be released designs using the ram air principle that is often used on parachutes.  We expect great abilities from the ram scoop line we are developing.

Here is aclose-up of one of the more simple "Ram Scoop" kites we are developing for our new line.  So far they appear to be the most stable of all the kite designs while maintaining great performance characteristics.  Keep an eye out for their release soon.

I am sorry to say that this is the only photo that we have of this kite.  It was made for an ice festival in Iceland.  Unfortunately the photographer had an accident and the film was lost.  This shot is from one of the judges and we are lucky to have it.  I am told it was the hit of the show and received a standing ovation.

Here are some tubular kites we are also experimenting with.  They do require a fair amount wind to staying the air, but once up they are extremely stable.  In fact they are so stable that we have yet to find a modification that allows the kite to remain a tubular kite and yet be maneuverable.  Keep looking because we are far from quitting. In fact we are in the last phases of testing a super stable line for novices.

And last, we have one of those comical shots you just have to include.  Here is Kermit in pursuit of lunch.
